Quintin Smith: Journey of Saga

Quintin Smith, young british games writer, is writing a VERY hilarious series of posts chronicling his recent trip around Asia - supposedly in a quest for “The Citizen Kane of videogames”.

It’s an excellent read, and really is New Games Journalism at it’s finest.

You can find each part here: (caution, lots of swearing, no dodgy images though, just text)

ATI have released their Catalyst 10.8 drivers. main notes:

-fixed Borderlands memory issue, game will no longer crash after a duration of play.

-Starcraft 2 now has Anti-aliasing options.

If you’ve got an ATI card, download them from http://game.amd.com

URL: ahahahaha. I’d love to hear this played, but I suspect any sane conductor would refuse after reading “light explosives now…”

Video Games, Art, etc.

Still following Roger Ebert’s “Videogames are not art” saga, someone at Hellmode has written an excellent counterpoint to both the “not art” and “not yet art” viewpoints. Give it a read.
